With these tools I was able to repair the rig in different situations and we could move on.

One important tool I never will miss again is the Diagnostic-Device, with connection on a Phone-App you can detect electrical problems on the bike. If ignition is working, fuel pump, ABS etc.

Which kind of spare parts you need this is under your experience, in my case I had a broken gear shaft, a broken throttle cable and a broken ignition encoder, I could repair only the throttle cable with out a shop.

Spare Tank 34 Liter or 9 Gallon

The discussion of weight in the sidecar is coming up when you are driving without passenger. Most drivers put in the sidecar cement bulks or other heavy stuff to get the right balance. Why not put the fuel tank in the sidecar? I did it in the way that I constructed a 34l tank in a limited space in the trunk and bought the original fuel pump to use this tank as main tank. The original tank on the bike is the spare tank and fills this tank up after it is empty. At the same time there is an increase of fuel, driving the sidecar of 30 to 40% vs. the normal bike, the range of fuel with spare tank is around 550 km.

Interphone

This is my opinion, normally I refuse to use any kind of communication system on the bike, but with the new technic it is an option to be in touch with your couple during the travel, on the other side the connection with the phone and the GPS device makes it easier to understand in the helmet where you must drive. We choose the S10 due to a good reputation in the comments on the internet. The price is ok and it has all features you need. We can say we recommend this device!

Camping

  • Cooking
  • Sleeping
  • Bags

Normally when we are traveling, we do 2 to 3 days camping and one day of hotel. This method is the best solution for our age, the back doesn't hurt so much, and you save some money. We have a fuel cooker some pots and pan, plates, expresso pot and the normal cutlery you use in the kitchen. The cooling box is only for beer! The tent and sleeping mat as well the sleeping bags, all equipment was elected carefully after reading the recommendations from other guys. Mostly you can trust in these recommendations. For the paniers we bought the bags from a motorcycle outfitter and it was help full during the rain, the clothes stay dry.
